Driving Directions to Casa Bella Rita
Unless you are familiar with the roads in Costa Rica these will be the easiest directions. Please be advised that many Costa Rican roads are under construction or repair and many landmarks may be different or have changed without our knowledge. We apologize if your travel time varies or if the directions seem a quite a bit different. And always remember: Call us if you need help with your route!
Directions from the airport or car rental agencies
- Turn towards San Jose
- Proceed several miles to the Hotel Marriott exit on the right. Take this exit and turn RIGHT going towards the Hotel Marriott.
- Passing the Marriott, go straight approximately 2 miles and you will then go down a hill. Turn LEFT at the bottom of the hill in front of the La Ribera Mall.
- Go one block and turn RIGHT.
- Go through the 3-way light and about a 1/2 mile more to the next traffic light in front of Panasonic which will be on the left. Turn LEFT at the light.
- Go about (3) miles through an area called Lindora, which can be very heavy with traffic at times. You will see a Pizza Hut and Quality Real on the left-hand side. Just past these businesses is an on-ramp to Ciudad Colón/Puriscal. You will take the second ramp on the right. Don’t take the first ramp as that will take you to San José.
- Continue on the highway for about 3 miles. You will see an exit for Ciudad Colón. Take this exit.
- There is a toll booth costing ¢170 colones, but they will take small US dollars if that’s all you have. Continue on for just over 1 mile (2km) a recovery center that has a red, white & blue horse in front of it on the right. (1/8) mile (300 meters) further, on the left, you will see a restaurant called El Corral that is directly across the street from our road. Turn RIGHT on the road which is also just before a bus stop.
- The road is in between the bar/restaurant and a bus stop. Take this road 100 meters going over the speed bump. Turn right and go another 100 meters.
- We are the first house on the left with the colorful mural. Park in front and the door bell is on the left-hand side. We will have you park your car in our secured parking area after you check-in.

The GPS coordinates for Casa Bella Rita are LAT 9.935087 / LONG -84.237501 You can put these into your GPS and it will probably come up a little different than the above, but you will still be able to find your way to Casa Bella Rita.

Directions using alternate route El Coyol
- Leaving the Hampton Inn and Fiesta Casino parking lot (where most car rental agencies are located) turn RIGHT onto the access road and then an immediate LEFT to the General Canas Highway (Route 1). Turn right passing the airport on your left. Don’t take the exit for the airport but stay in the center lane towards San Ramon.
- At 6.1 kilometers, on your left, you will see the Lanco Paint Factory and Dos Pinos processing plant. At 7 kilometers you will see an overpass spanning the highway. Exit RIGHT just after the overpass (there is a small sign for Revision Technica Vehicular) onto a ramp that circles to the right and puts you on the concrete bridge. Cross over Highway 1 and continue straight through the roundabout for about 5 kilometers.
- The road is limited access. There is only one interchange before you get to the Autopista Del Sol (Rte. 27). You will go through two round-abouts. The second roundabout is on the other side of the highway. Go ¾ around it to the on-ramp towards Ciudad Colon/Guacima/San José. There is a limited access road/ramp just before it so be aware and don’t take this. Now you are on the toll road that you will follow to the Ciudad Colon exit. It sounds very complicated, but it’s fairly easy.
- You are now on Highway 27 going towards San José. You will go through one toll booth that is currently ¢460 colones. If you don’t have colones just give them a dollar – it’s roughly the same amount. About 2 km further you will exit at the Ciudad Colon/Puriscal exit and go to the stop sign and turn RIGHT.
- Continue on for just about 2 km and you will see a rehab center on the right that has a red, white and blue horse in front of it on the right. 300 meters more, on the left, you will see a restaurant called El Correll. Turn RIGHT on the road directly across the street from this restaurant. This is a residential neighborhood so try not to speed.
- The road is in between a bar/restaurant and a bus stop on the right. Turn right and go 100 meters going over the speed bump and turn right again. Go 100 meters and we are the big colorful house on the left.
- We are the first house on the left with the colorful mural. Park in front and the door bell is on the left hand side. We will have you park your car in our secured parking area after you check-in.
